While I had one baby with me, and other babies in the cradle, I worked 12 hours a day sanding flooring and tearing off wallpaper. Ha! All was beginning to fall in place, yet it was not quite done. This was going take time, money and of course my favourite shopping experience for furniture to decorate this home. To keep the cost within my means, I took my boys along to search for hidden treasures at estate sales. It was our weekly routine to visit garage sales and auctions on the weekend, and buy a variety of old pieces and new made. My work days were spent in the driveway either painting or sanding. My first impression was similar to... that's when my passion to restore furniture began. I kept on restoring furniture, even after having decorated our house. I had a stand in the market at my local location and sold pieces there. I could outgrow my space because I owned many more pieces than I could use. The number of people who visited my home over the course of a weekend to buy everything that was on the ground. My venture Growing Days began here. In addition to my thriving business, I also had the pleasure of growing our family. It was a balance between starting a business and becoming a mother. Growing Days fit perfectly. My beautiful Nora arrived in the year 2013, our 4th child. The direction of my business was fantastic, but I had to rest for a while. I decided to step back and stay in my home with my kids. At the time, it was exactly what I needed. But after a couple of months off the phone started to ring. I started receiving messages from individuals asking for help in home improvement and design of interiors. A majority of those calling me were from those who visited my home at one of the furniture open house events. The time flew by before I was managing a full-scale home renovation company. It began with taking clients on one with a speed I could be at ease with. When you first told me about my home renovation business I was astonished. It's true that I amused when I think of it.
